Taoist Tai Chi™ arts ideal for Multiple Sclerosis

Fung Loy Kok Taoist Tai Chi member Sylvia Guite, discusses her experience of being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and participating in a Tai Chi Health Recovery Week.

I joined Fung Loy Kok Taoist Tai Chi  in 2006 and have had the pleasure of attending one of the week long intensives held in Orangeville, ON, Canada. It was quite an experience to be with a few hundred people and just do Tai Chi all weekend. I would love the opportunity to go again and would encourage you to try to make it to one if you can.

In addition to numerous ongoing classes to accommodate any schedule, they offer a specific Health Recovery Program that has “proven very effective as complementary therapy in aiding and speeding recovery”. Membership fees are very reasonable and allow you to attend any class anywhere in the world. If you are traveling, this is a wonderful opportunity to meet other people and experience your destination, while keeping your Tai Chi practice up. I’ve enjoyed the benefits of membership and participation and encourage you to maybe explore it for yourself. You can find information about classes on their website, or hop over and ‘Like’ the Fung Loy Kok aoist Tai Chi Facebook Page. Have you thought of giving Tai Chi a go or do you regularly practice? Let us know your experience in the comments below. Blessings, Jacqui, Damselfly
